Outstanding Young Alumni Award

Each year the College of ACES Alumni Association honors up to three outstanding graduates of the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences who have demonstrated outstanding professional achievement, or through outstanding leadership or service have significantly enhanced or improved the lives of others. This year's award recipients will be honored during the ACES Family Reunion on Friday, November 14, before Salute to Ag Day.

Nominees must have received a bachelor, master, or doctorate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences. The nominee must be under the age of 40 on January 1, 2008. The nominee should be able to attend the Salute to Agriculture Day weekend activities on November 14-15, 2008.

The selection committee requires at least one letter of nomination, which includes:

List of outstanding professional accomplishments
Significant contributions to the college
Notable contributions in the area of good citizenship and community service
and one of the following
- honors
- special recognition
- civic and volunteer activities
- philanthropic efforts

Three supporting letters are required; a biographical sketch and career accomplishments (resume or curriculum vitae acceptable) are also required. Please submit all materials to:
