Award of Merit

Each year the College of ACES Alumni Association honors three to five outstanding graduates of the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences. This year's award winners will be honored on Monday, April 20, 2009 during the college's Funk Awards Banquet.

Eligibility

Nominees must have received a bachelor, master, or doctorate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences.  The nominee should be able to attend the recognition banquet on April 20, 2009.

The selection committee requires at least one letter of nomination, which includes:

  • List of outstanding professional accomplishments
  • Significant contributions to the college
  • Notable contributions in the area of good citizenship and community service
  • and one of the following
    • honors
    • special recognition
    • civic and volunteer activities
    • philanthropic efforts

Three supporting letters are required; a biographical sketch and career accomplishments (resume of curriculum vitae acceptable) would be useful.  Please submit all materials to:
