Mission Statement

To enhance, support, and communicate the mission of the college and to provide and foster a lifelong connection among alumni and between the college and its alumni.

More specifically, we shall strive

• to communicate and cooperate with all alumni of the college, its departments, units, other alumni associations of the university, and alumni of other universities.
• to facilitate and support activities and serve as an avenue of communication among alumni regarding activities, professional growth, developments, and programs of the college.
• to assist in the development of financial resources for the college, its students and on going programs and activities.
• to foster and recognize loyalty and support of the college and university among its many friends and constituents and to provide opportunities for fellowship.
• to provide multiple points of contact and attachment for alums thus enhancing their opportunities for personal and professional growth.
• to identify, inform, and encourage potential students about the University of Illinois and the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences.
• to assist alumni with specific professional interests to develop programs and activities to serve those needs.

Principles that will be followed in achieving the mission include:

• striving to create an environment in which alums from the many diverse disciplines of the college may develop and participate in activities that will meet their professional and personal needs.
• activities of the association will be structured in such a way as to recognize the geographic and disciplinary diversity of the alumni.
• development of a critical mass of leaders and potential leaders who will represent all geographic areas of the state of Illinois and to recognize the many professional disciplines represented by alumni.
